Oregon Kiwanis members Donna Heynssens, Dave Ragula and Tom Shouer look over books that have been placed in tubs for the community book drive during January.  In an effort to expose children from low-income families to more books and reading opportunities, the Oregon Kiwanis will distribute the books through the Ogle County Health Department's screening programs and Project Head Start.  Collection tubs are at Snyder's Drug Store, the Community Bank of Oregen, OHS Library, Conover Square, Nash Recreation Center and the Rock River Center.  Call 732-7326 or 732-4200 for more information.

Secretary Rosemary Eike presents Gene Eike with the Legion of Honor Award for 25 years of continuous membership.  During that time Gene has donated time and financial support to worthy causes in Oregon through volunteer community service.
